Anne Kristine Etherton, MS, RDN, LDN, NASM-CPT
This is Anne Kristine, our founder/owner and Registered Dietitian, NASM - Certified Personal Trainer, yoga teacher, mom, wife and aspiring gardener. She received her bachelors of science in biology back in 2005 from University of Memphis. The same month she graduated she also got married, and began her life as a military wife. She has traveled and lived in several locations and attended schools in most of them. She has a broad array of experience and knowledge, from experience in emergency medicine during EMT training, receiving her yoga certificate in 2009 through Marianne Wells yoga school in Costa Rica, being a NASM certified personal trainer, receiving her masters in nutrition in 2014 from the University of Nevada, Reno. After she graduated she sought more direct experience so she worked at WIC in California and became a dietetic technician registered. She then went on to work in the hospital setting while her husband was stationed in Rhode Island, and found a passion for working in clinical. Also, while she was in Rhode Island she taught yoga classes and private sessions, and developed a love of helping people one-on-one. She enjoyed watching people’s confidence change while their abilities changed. It was so rewarding to see people’s self esteem grow along with their fitness level. She wanted to advance herself, so she applied and completed the dietetic internship with the VAMC of Memphis. After graduating she immediately sat for and passed her RD exam and became a Registered Dietitian. She then went on to work worked in pediatric hospital and renal dialysis as a registered dietitian. She has had over 10 years of experience in the fitness and health world, and she’s excited to be providing assistance to clients one on one.
She rarely wears high heels, her dress code is casual and she doesn’t take her self very seriously. But, what she does take very seriously is the health and well-being of her clients and anyone around her. She is passionate about helping people achieve their best life, be it through new healthy lifestyle changes, removing negative things in their life and creating an all-around balanced day. She admits she’s not always the best at doing this for herself, but is a huge advocate of making tomorrow better than today. Each day she says “what did I do well today, and what can I do better tomorrow?” She is passionate about people getting correct information when it comes to nutrition and fitness because she is very aware of the magnitude of false information that’s out there.
She was actually vulnerable to this when she was younger and was given some poor nutrition advice early on that contributed to several years of poor nutrition decisions, but that and the general passion to help other is what motivates her to provide the best and most up-to-date information to her clients and customers everyday. Her biggest motivation and reward is seeing the results of people achieving their goals and having life changing results.
